Wonderful book full of lovely, practical ideas on making the most of your gardens! I really enjoyed the way the author features other women and their gardens — it’s inspiring to see their style and creativity and apply some of their techniques to my own gardens. The DIY projects are easy to understand and complete. I’ll be buying more copies for gifts.

Filled with beautiful, rich photographs, this book tours through cleverly designed gardens from eight creative female gardeners. Tanya has woven a clever mix of practical and inspirational ideas with essential and valuable gardening knowledge. You know you’ve found a good book when you keep going back for more ideas, this is one such book! I highly recommend it.

This is a really beautiful book! I homeschool my four girls, age 17 to age 8. I bought the book in hopes of inspiring them. We all have enjoyed browsing through the beautiful pages of this book! I know this is a book we are going to have it around for years to come!

A Women’s Garden is a beautiful and inspiring book on growing and using plants. One of the things I really like about this book is that it’s not just about one woman’s garden, you’ll get a peek into 8 different gardens that each have a different focus. While most of the gardens are in the UK, there are some in other parts of Europe and in North America.
While this isn’t necessarily a “how-to garden” gardening book, there are plenty of tips and information for choosing and growing various types of plants for each of the 8 gardens. The 8 gardens are edible garden, edible flowers, culinary herbs, plants for skin care, medicinal herbs, herbs for the home, dye garden, and a crafty garden. Along with growing tips, each section has several projects to make with the plants from the garden or a project for the garden. I think this is a really great book to help you dream and see the possibilities of your own garden and the plants that you grow.

This is a lovely book for gardeners. The rich and helpful text is supported by lots of photographs. I especially like some of the projects (pallet strawberry planter), recipes (floral ice cubes, flower petal frittata, three-mint mojito), and various “Galleries” (edible flowers, culinary herbs, plants for the home). This is a beautiful and practical book. I pick it up for information often.
