An easy Irish cream liqueur recipe needs just a few ingredients and a few minutes to make. The flavor is very similar to Baileys Irish Cream, but this recipe should be refrigerated rather than left at room temperature. Makes one 25 oz (750 ml) bottle.
Stir the coffee crystals into a tablespoon of hot water. Mix well.
Place all the ingredients into a bowl and whisk until they're thoroughly mixed. Alternatively, mix everything on low speed in a blender.
Funnel the liquid into empty bottles and refrigerate. It lasts in the fridge for up to two weeks.
You can drink homemade Baileys Irish cream as soon as you make it, and it's delicious served poured over ice. You can also serve it over ice cream or use it to make creamy cocktails and desserts.
Notes
Homemade Baileys Irish cream makes excellent DIY Christmas gifts. Pour it into small bottles, add a ribbon and label, and present them to your favorite loved ones. I say favorite, because you'll be sorely tempted to keep it for yourself!
